Removed the old deck and found the Steel roof was in good shape but coating applied 10 years ago was starting to fail. Cleaned the roof down to the metal and removed any loose previously applied coating then applied three coats. Used the 6’ reinforcing mesh on all the seams and where the deck sleepers were being installed. Install was quick and easy.

My truck camper roof had no leaks, and I wanted it to stay that way. Two coats later you would swear the roof is brand new. The advice to mix this with a power paddle is spot on.
Had a couple questions answered promptly by customer service people that were great. If Gaco Roof holds up as well as it looks, I’ll be one very happy camper. Highly recommended.

Sometimes those ponds leaked through the torch down seams over time. We coated most of our seams with 10 gals of eterna-kote - we just received another five gallons to complete all seams and put a second coat in the worst areas. No more leaks from the ponds! Thank you!

I prepped the area as recommended (patched a leak and let it set, then swept up all loose particles, leaves, and dirt across the entire roof) before applying the Eterna-Kote. Because I was applying it over half-lap rolled roofing, treatment required more product than if it were applied over a smooth metal roof, for example. I applied one coat - but I was generous with the product. It covered the patched area very well, and although I need to order more product to complete coverage of the entire roof area, I could feel an immediate difference in the temperature of the bonus room at 1/2 surface area coverage. I’ll be ordering more Eterna-Kote this winter, to complete the project.
It’s important to note that this is not a ’patch’ product - any required patches need to be applied prior to coating the roof.
Highly recommended!!
